For a limited time, Japanese players of the Korean-made MMORPG TalesWeaver can modify their characters to look like ‘A Certain Scientific Railgun S‘s electrifying Level 5, Mikoto Misaka, or one of Mikoto’s clones and interact with the perverted yet lovable teleporter, Kuroko Shirai who will appear as an NPC.
The overview of the collaboration states that a recent urban legend has surfaced about a Certain virtual world and Mikoto and Kuroko are investigating this new urban legend. The urban legend is tied up to “Money Cards” which have been placed all over the map. The players must help Kuroko find these “Money Cards” and beat up some “thugs” along the way.
TalesWeaver is also currently implementing the Railgun Mass-Production campaign where players can make their avatars look like Mikoto’s lovable clones or “sisters”. This campaign will only last until December 26, 2013.
A limited time Railgun treasure chest is also currently available for the game. One chest costs 500P, five chests cost 1,500P, eleven chests cost 3,000P and finally 40 chests will cost 10,000P.
