ESP turns the Rathalos Flamesword into a 22,000 dollar guitar for the Monster Hunter 10th Anniversary

Electric Guitar and Bass makers ESP Guitars is joining in on the Monster Hunter 10th Anniversary celebrations by releasing a special limited edition electric guitar designed much like the Rathalos Flamesword which is featured in various Monster Hunter games.

This limited edition Rathalos Flamesword Guitar will cost a measly 2,300,000 yen (approximately US$ 22,400) and that’s still without the tax. The guitar’s body is made of alder wood while the neck is made of hard maple wood. It uses Honduras Rosewood for the fingerboard and the whole guitar measures in at approximately 628mm in length.

Reservations for these special built-to-order guitars will begin Summer 2014 and will be released six months after the order date. It will come in a special handcrafted case which is inspired by the Rathalos’s scale patterns and will have the logo for the Rathalos as well as the Monster Hunter 10th Anniversary logo.

Japanese pastry shop Poire will also be releasing some special Monster Hunter chocolates while Banpresto has already started with their Monster Hunter 10th Anniversary Ichiban Kuji lottery.
