The Red Brick Warehouse in Yokohama, Japan is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of one of the most popular Japanese detective series of all time, Case Closed!, in an event known as “Incident in Conan Exhibit”.
One of the exhibit’s main attractions include this life-size statue of main character, Conan Edogawa sitting in a chair along with his friend and colleague, Shinichi Kudo in front of the Detective Conan 20th Anniversary logo. The exhibit opens to the public today, April 24, 2014 and will only be until May 10, 2014.
Visitors to the event will each receive a “Detective Notebook” where they will be presented with a mystery. The clues can be found within the exhibit and it is up to the visitors to use their wits to solve that mystery. Conan, Kaito Kid, Kudo Shinichi and Heiji Hattori will all be giving them tips on how to solve the mystery found in the notebooks.
A life-size replica of the Mouri Detective Agency is reproduced from the manga and the anime and put on display for everyone to see.
3D illustrations done by Case Closed! creator Gosgo Aoyama himself were also on display along with congratulatory messages and illustrations from various Japanese celebrities and fellow manga artists including Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura and InuYasha creator Rumiko Takahashi, The World God Only Knows creator Tamiki Wakaki, Hayate the Combat Butler creator Hata Kenjiro, and Lupin III creator Monkey Punch.
Case Closed! merchandise are also being sold at the event venue.
