Looks like The Nisekoi and Madoka Magica girls ain’t the only ones doing a costume exchange as Nitro+ and ufotable have announced that Saber from the Fate series and Super Sonico will be teaming up for a brand new collaboration. This was all announced by ufotable’s Hikaru Kondo via his twitter account.
Character-wise, it would really seem that Saber and Super Sonico would be a very unlikely team-up as Sonico is a clumsy and shy gravure model/ college student who is very well endowed while Saber is the king of knights and a fierce warrior to boot… not to mention she is the complete opposite of Sonico chest-wise.
This “odd couple” will first team up for a collaboration poster which will be sold during the Character1 event which will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight on April 29, 2014. The B2 sized poster will feature Sonico in Saber’s combat attire wielding Excalibur (but still has her headphones on) while Saber will be featured in Sonico’s attire. The poster will cost 3,000 yen.
Kondo also announced that the two characters will be doing a joint exhibition during Machi Asobi Vol. 12 at the ufotable cinema from May 3-5, 2014 which will be during Japan’s Golden Week holiday.
