Magical Comedy Majimoji Rurumo gets anime adaptation

The animation studio J.C. Staff have announced they are adapting Magimoji Rurumo, a comedy manga by the author of Yowamushi Pedal about a cute witch and a perverted boy who is going to die.

Majimoji Rurumo is drawn and written by the creator of Yowamushi Pedal, Wataru Watanabe. The story follows Kouta Shibaki, a skirt-chasing high school boy who randomly meets a young witch-in-training named Rurumo, who gives Kouta a pack of tickets that will grant his wishes. Once Kouta uses all the tickets, Rurumo will become a full-fledged witch — and Kouta will die!

And so Kouta and Rurumo begin their ridiculous mutual life, using magic whenever Kouta’s perverted antics get him into trouble.

Majimoji Rurumo was first serialized in 2007 and spawned three different manga series that with currently eleven volumes. The anime adaptation is scheduled to air this summer and is being animated by J.C. Staff, the studio responsible for To Aru Majutsu no Index, Little Busters!, and the currently airing Selector Infected WIXOSS.
