Blue Exorcist will be having its very own live action stage play just like many anime series like K, Steins; Gate, Sailor Moon, Death Note and Gurren Lagann, and now, the play’s official website has just revealed a new key visual which reveals the two actors playing the Okumura brothers, Rin and Yukio in full costume.
Hiromi Sakimoto, who plays Yuya Sumii in Kamen Rider Gaim, will be playing Rin Okumura while Kamen Rider Decade (Tsukasa Kadoya) himself, Masahiro Inoue, will be playing the younger twin, Yukio.
The play has been revealed to be a double feature and will be covering two different arcs which were featured in Kazue Kato’s original manga which is serialized in Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine. The first part will cover the “Awakening of the Blue Flame” arc while the second part will cover the “Kyoto Impure King” arc. The play is written by Daisuke Nishida with full cooperation with series creator Kazue Kato.
The stage play will be held at Ikebukuro’s famous Sunshine Theater from June 21-29, 2014. Normal seats cost 6,800 yen while premium seats will cost 8,800 yen.
