One of the most memorable parts of the classic ground-breaking Japanese RPG Final Fantasy VII is its music. Now, imagine it being played by an orchestra, live. Imagine being inside an opera house listening to an orchestral band playing Sephiroth’s theme song, One Winged Angel.
Wouldn’t that be great? Now, Game Symphony Japan has announced that they will be conducting a concert which will be celebrating the music of the classic RPG which has introduced us to many unforgettable characters like Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, Aerith, and of course, Sephiroth.
The performance will be held on June 26, 2014 in the Suntory Hall in Akasaka, Tokyo. The concert will feature Final Fantasy VII music including One Winged Angel and Aerith’s Theme.
It also celebrates the work of Square Enix video game composer Nobuo Uematsu who has written the score not only for Final Fantasy VII (most notably Aerith’s Theme) but also for the movie, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children.
The orchestra will be conducted by Master Kenichi Shimura and conducted by the Tokyo Chamber Orchestra, who have worked on video game music since the 1980′s.
Seat A tickets cost 10,000 yen while seat B tickets will cost 6,500 yen. This will be Game Symphony Japan’s very first game music orchestra concert and it would be fitting that they will feature the music of one of Japan’s most successful RPG’s, Final Fantasy VII. According to Niconico viewers, the game’s background music is one of the best video game music they love to listen to.
