Kotobukiya‘s cute Super Deformed (SD) figure line, Cu-Poche has surely gained a lot of following since it was first launched back in 2013 and they have definitely given Good Smile Company’s Nendoroids a good run for their money. To celebrate one year of success, Kotobukiya has recently set up a Cu-poche exhibition event over at the 5th floor of the Kotobukiya Museum in Akihabara.
Plenty of cute and wacky Cu-Poche figures were on display and visitors enjoyed being able to see and take pictures of the various displays.
One of the best parts of the event was people got to hold and play with some of the Cu-Poche figures.
There was also a photo exhibit corner where various Cu-Poche figures were featured in great shots. There was also a “behind the Development” panel which talked about the history and origins of the figure.
Kotobukiya also announced the new Kyouko Sakura Cu-Poche figure from Madoka Magica. They also previewed their upcoming Cu-Poche Yukiho from iDOLM@STER as well as teased fans and collectors about a new figure from the iM@S series (I’m thinking Hibiki Ganaha). They also showed off their upcoming Cupoche Sanae Dekomori figure from Chuunibyou as well as several optional Cu-poche accessories and bodies.
Brace yourselves Sword Art Online Fans because Cu-Poche Asuna will be coming soon!
Here are the other images from the event which will only be until today, May 5, 2014
