The 25th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump! magazine has made two very big announcements surrounding Naoshi Komi’s best selling romantic comedy series, Nisekoi whose anime adaptation is currently experiencing much success as of late.
The manga magazine announced that Konami will be making a new Nisekoi game for the PS Vita. The new game is due for release Fall 2014 and more announcements will be made in the future.
The announcement did not state what kind of game this one will be but judging from Nisekoi’s romantic comedy nature, it would most likely be a visual novel and not a fighting game like most Shounen Jump! games… though Chitoge can be seen kicking butt in J-Stars Victory VS as a support character. But if this new PS Vita game does turn out to be a visual novel, what route will you choose? Are you in Team Onodera? Team Chitoge? Team Marika? Or are you in Team Seishirou?
The magazine also announced that a 25-minute OVA will come bundled along with the manga’s volume 14 which will be released on October 3, 2014. The OVA will adapt the manga’s 58th and 64th chapters.
Shaft will still be producing the animation with the rest of the anime’s staff returning, including director Akiyuki Shinbo. The bundle will include a jacket with an original illustration as well as a special booklet, a 2015 Nisekoi calendar card and a special promo Nisekoi Weiss Schwarz card from the popular trading card game.
