The Attack on Titan Exhibition over at the Ueno Royal Museum officially opens to the public today, November 28, 2014, however, yesterday, guests were invited for a little preview which includes a life-size model of the Colossal Titan’s head, a life-size 3D Maneuver Gear model, several artworks by creator Hajime Isayama, an Oculus Rift presentation which takes you to the world of Attack on Titan, and more.
One of the biggest things you will see in the exhibition is ofcourse the life-size model of the 50m Colossal titan, which seems to have busted out from underneath the floor. Since it was too big to even fit inside the Ueno Royal Museum, only its head, parts of its upper body, and hand were seen. And look! The Mini Titan was also present!
Now that’s huge!
A special message by Attack on Titan creator, Hajime Isayama, can be seen near the entrance as he welcomes visitors to the exhibition dedicated to the fictional world he has envisioned.
Several video presentations also played a huge part in bringing this Attack on Titan exhibition to life.
But one of the biggest draws really seem to be the Oculus Rift demonstration which really takes you into the world of Attack on Titan and simulates a 360 degree view of how it feels like when the Titans invade.
Several Attack on Titan replica props were also on display, most notable of which is the life-size replica of the 3D Maneuver Gear. Also on display is Eren’s key and even Sasha’s potato, which she stole… as expected of the infamous Potato Girl.
Several illustrations by Isayama himself, along with several notable artists, like Azumanga Daioh and Yotsuba&! manga creator Kiyohiko Azuma and Blade of the Immortal creator Hiroaki Samura, completed the exhibition. there were also souvenir merchandise sold during the event.
Movie Collection Japan also started streaming two new videos from the launch event
I would really like to be in Ueno right now… The Attack on Titan Exhibition in the Ueno Royal Museum will only be until January 25, 2015.
