The World War II movie, Fury, which stars Brad Pitt, is about a Sherman tank and its crew, and for its Japanese trailer, who better to narrate it than tank fanatic, Yukari Akiyama from the tank anime, Girls und Panzer?
The movie has teamed up with not only Girls und Panzer, but two other World War II-themed series, Strike Witches, which features World War II aircraft, and Kantai Collection, which features moe anthropomorphic battleship girls from World War II. Girls und Panzer of course features tanks from the great war, so a collaboration with Fury is not only unsurprising, but it would also make tank and military otakus in Japan happy… very happy.
The movie started showing in Japan last November 1, 2014 and also stars Shia LeBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal, Michael Peña, Jason Isaacs, and Scott Eastwood.
