Japanese airport gets officially nicknamed after Detective Conan

The Tottori Airport in the city of Tottori was recently nicknamed the “Tottori Conan Airport” after a meeting by the city’s chamber of commerce to celebrate one of the prefecture’s native sons, Gosho Aoyama, best known for creating the mystery manga series, Case Closed!, also known as Detective Conan.

Aoyama is from Hokuei, Tottori Prefecture, which is also home to the manga museum dedicated to him known as the Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory. The airport management is planning to display several Detective Conan images throughout the airport. Several Conan flags have already been set up outside the airport.
