There are already so many reasons to visit Tokyo, but the opening of Shonen Jump inspired amusement park J-World Tokyo might just make your top ten. Located on the third floor of Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City World Import Mart building, J-World Tokyo sports attractions featuring your favorite anime - Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Naruto, Gintama, Toriko, Bleach, Hunter x Hunter, Prince of Tennis, and Kochikame to name a few. (For more anime news from SGCafe, click here) With J-World Tokyo, you get the chance to fight Frieza alongside Goku, stow away on a haunted ship with One Piece’s “Soldier Dock” ride, merry-go-round in style with the One Piece “Shiro Mokuba” ride, and unlock the secrets of ninja with the Naruto “Shinobi War Picture Scroll”.
If you’re more of an arcade type of person, fear not. J-World Tokyo has tons of arcade games; the only thing you might have to worry about is pushing over all the little kids to get there first! Of course, you’re a sensible adult and knocking kids out of the way is totally not cool, even if Dragon Ball is your favorite show and you’ve been watching it before those little kids were even born and have been practicing kamehameha waves your whole life and… Ahem! SGCafe does not condone child violence.
If you’re like me and you love food (especially eating it), then you’ll be excited for this next part. J-World Tokyo’s cafe has delicious specialties sure to awaken your hunger for food and anime. Chow down on Prince of Tennis, Gintama, and Bleach desserts, Majin Buu Buns, Tony Tony Chopper pasta with meatballs, Ichigo vs. Renji curry, Blue Exorcist panna cotta, and much more!
