Earlier, we have reported that the domain name for “ansatsu-anime.com” has already been registered. The twitter page for Newsmangajapon has just reported that the anime adaptation for Yuusei Matsui’s beloved Shounen Jump! manga, Assassination Classroom has finally been confirmed for 2015.
Not only will there be an anime, but there will also be a live action movie. No exact release dates for the movie and the anime have been announced so far.
The manga, which revolves around a class which was tasked to assassinate a mysterious octopus-like alien , Koro-sensei, who is responsible for destroying 70% of the moon has gotten an exclusive event-only anime during the Jump Super Anime Tour 2013. This will be the manga’s first TV anime series as the first one was just shown exclusively during the 2013 event.
The series has already claimed many accolades like taking the #1 spot for Kono Manga ga Sugoi’s 2014 edition, beating out favorite Attack on Titan. It has also made the Top 10 for Oricon’s best selling manga for the first half of 2014, and was the only manga series in the top 10 list not yet having an anime adaptation.
