Studio Ghibli Int’l has presented images from Hiromasa Yonebayashi’s upcoming film When Marnie Was There through a series of tweets. Six images have been posted so far, and if you want to see more, you can follow @ghibli_intl on Twitter.
The upcoming Ghibli film, adapted from Joan G. Robinson’s novel of the same title, is about a young girl named Anna. She hangs out with a mysterious girl by the name of Marnie at a house near a marsh one summer. This movie aims to portray a “realistic Hokkaido world of modern kids”.
When Marnie Was There premieres on July 19 in Japan.
