Gundam fans in Singapore rejoice! As Singapore celebrates 50 years of Independence, Bandai and legendary mecha designer, Kunio Okawara, has a special treat for the country with a new HGUC 1/144 RX-78-2 GunPla which will come with a Singapore theme
This exclusive GunPla is designed by Kunio Okawara himself, the man behind the mecha designs of the original 1070 Mobile Suit Gundam anime and it will be an event exclusive for the Gundam Docks in Singapore event which will begin over at Ngee Ann City later this month!
For this new kit, Okawara himself has something to say:
“It is such an honor to be able to design this special Gundam in celebration of Singapore’s 50th anniversary. This design is inspired by the red and white colours of Singapore’s national flag and my impressions towards the beauty and cleanliness of the country. I hope everyone likes this and it would be my great pleasure”
Those attending Gundam Docks in Singapore this June will also get to meet the man himself and have their kits autographed! The price for this exclusive kit will be announced in days to come, and for more information about the event, check the website here.
