Drug addiction is a global problem, and as we approach the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, a special event will take place in Shibuya Station in order to educate the public about illegal drugs, and they have enlisted the help of one of the most popular anime titles on Earth, Attack on Titan.
An educational video featuring Attack on Titan will be run on major Japanese train lines, and this video is supervised by Attack on Titan creator, Hajime Isayama himself!
The characters from the series are urging people not to do drugs and warns of the dangers of them. They warn people “not to fall into temptation” and just say no. The campaign sets up illegal drugs as “Humanity’s Worst Foe”, and in a way, it truly is.
Posters featuring the Colossal Titan will also be distributed and it features him doing an “X” pose, which is usually treated as a sign for saying NO in Japan. You know the issue is serious when the Colossal Titan is telling humans to say no to drugs, right?!
