The Tales of video game franchise has been one of Japan’s most popular video game series ever, and to celebrate its 20th anniversary, ufotable will be animating one of the most popular games in the franchise, Tales of Zestria, and we will be expecting the anime by 2016
During the “Tales of Festival 2015″ event held yesterday, Bandai Namco, which produces the games, has revealed that Tales of Zestria will indeed be getting an anime adaptation, and fans who attended the event were quick to tweet about it. An official website has also been opened for this “Tales of 20th Anniversary Animation Project” by ufotable, and it shows the upcoming anime’s promo
The teaser video teases of a journey which trancends Zestria. The anime’s official website also revealed the upcoming anime’s new key visual image:
ufotable previously animeted the Tales of Zestiria: Doushi no Yoake TV anime special to promote the original game’s release back in December 2014. Zestria will be the latest Tales of video game to get an anime adaptation as it joins Tales of Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Eternia, Tales of Phantasia (OAV), Tales of Vesperia (animated movie), and Tales of Symphonia (OAV)
More announcements about the anime adaptation, such as the staff, cast, sound track, and which season in 2016 it will be shown, will be made in the future
