Snow Miku is often synonymous with the Japanese island of Hokkaido or Hokkaido prefecture at large as she is the mascot and image girl for the annual Sapporo Snow Festival. She is often active during the winter season, but one just asks, what does Snow Miku do for summer? Well, since summer is often the season for Baseball in Japan, looks like she is teaming up with local pro ball team, Hokkaido-Ham Fighters
The new collaboration, which features Snow Miku in a poster with Fighters star outfielder, Yoh Daikan, will be promoting Asian Festa 2015, which is a celebration of East Asian culture in Hokkaido which will be held from July 31 until August 2, 2015. An ad for the collaboration was shown during the 7th inning of the Fighters game against the Yomiuri Giants and the Fighters team song was played, and guess who was singing it? Miku of course!
Special Fighters and Miku clear files were also given away during the Fighters’ home stand against the Giants, which were played from June 9 – 10
