It’s that time of the month again: Sega, the games company behind the Project Diva titles and a entire army of UFO Catcher machines deployed at arcades all over Japan, are about to refresh the Hatsune Miku “Sega Prize” UFO Catcher merchandise line-up.
The Hatsune Miku Sega Prize merch for November and December cover quite the spectrum, thematically: there’s a little bit of Project Mirai 2, completely new designs inspired by the forthcoming Christmas festive season and the song.
And finally, we get a blast from the past as Racing Miku 2011 and 2012 respectively graces the line-up with two pieces of merchandise themed after each Vocaloid race queen.
Hatsune Miku Premium Christmas Jumbo Cushion
Slated to be released sometime in mid November, the festive-themed Hatsune Miku Premium Christmas Jumbo Cushion is 55cm x 55cm in size, and features an illustration drawn by the artist “chamooi” (ちゃもーい).
Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 Premium Big Blanket
Available from late November onwards, this Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 blanket’s dimensions are 160cm x 120cm. Two designs are available in all.
Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 Mascot Cleaner
Also to be released from late November onwards, the Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 mascot cleaners are available in six designs. Each mascot cleaner is approximately 10cm in height.
Racing Miku 2011 Premium Figure
Making its Sega Prize debut in early December 2013 is this Racing Miku 2011 figure, which measures 20cm tall in height.
Racing Miku 2012 Premium Oritatami Cushion
What’s an “oritatami” cushion? Well, your guess is as good as mine, but methinks it has something to do with the fact that this cushion has seems that allows itself to be folded neatly into a compact size for storage. Dimensions: 50cm x 90cm.
Also available from early December. Two designs of the Racing Miku 2012 T-shirt are available, and both come in only one size: men’s free size.
Aku no Musume High-quality Pocketwatch
Based on the song Aku no Musume (video below), the pocketwatches come in three different designs, and each measure around 5cm in length.
If you happen to be in Japan in November or December, you might want to check out a Sega arcade near you for your chance to catch a Miku merch on the cheap. For a full list of Sega Prize UFO Catcher locations, go to http://segaprize.com/
Outside of being locked up in UFO Catcher machines, the Sega Prize merchandise is also available for purchase from Japanese online retailers.
