It’s the “real Okarin” in the flesh! In a recent entry revealed from his official website, voice actor Mamoru Miyano is seen cosplaying one of the characters he voices, Rintarou Okabe from Stens; Gate.
The cosplay was revealed to fans attending his successful Budokan live show titled MAMORU MIYANO SPECIAL LIVE TRAVELING! The image was taken from a video showing the versatile voice actor in the middle of the “Future Gadgets Laboratoy” dressed up as the genius mad scientist himself.
His blog entry was titled “The Real Okarin” and in a way, he really is. You can just imagine him saying “Kurisutina” out of nowhere and laughing with Okabe’s voice.
In another blog entry, Miyano also revealed a behind the scenes look at the shooting of his video for Budokan. He is seen in a rooftop overlooking the city skyline while still cosplaying as Rintarou Okabe.
Miyano is also known for providing the voices of Masaomi Kida from Durarara!, Rin Matsuoka from Free!, Light Yagami from Death Note, Tokiya Ichinose from UtaPri, Chrollo Lucifer from Hunter X Hunter and Setsuna F. Seiei from Mobile Suit Gundam 00.
