The anime adaptation of Haruichi Furudate’s bestselling volleyball manga, Haikyuu!!, is getting its second season, and the 40th issue of Weekly Shounen Jump! magazine has revealed season 2’s new key visual.
This second season promises to pick-up from where the first one left off and will premiere sometime in October 2015 as part of the Autumn 2015 anime season. More announcements, such as the exact premiere date of this new season, will be announced in the days to come.
The anime will once again follow Shouyo Hinata, Tobio Kageyama, and the rest of the Karasuno High School Volleyball team as they aim high to reach the nationals. The anime is based on the manga by Haruichi Furudate and is serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump! magazine. The first season ended abruptly in Episode 25 where it left many fans hanging as to what will happen next. More announcements will be made in the days to come.
The anime is also slated to have an original event-only anime this November during the Jump Festa event, which will be touring several cities in Japan.
