Sega’s hot MMORPG, Phantasy Star Online 2, is finally getting adapted into an anime, and during the game’s Arks Festival stage event yesterday, that new anime adaptation’s very first PV has finally been shown.
Scheduled to begin airing sometime in 2016, this new TV anime adaptation will be taking place in the future and will feature a completely new original story. The anime will be part of the Phantasy Star Online franchise’s 15th anniversary celebrations.
The video game also had a live-action stage play adaptation last year and it starred various voice actors such as Emi Nitta (Love Lie!’s Honoka), Shouta Aoi (UtaPri’s Ai Mikaze), Kazuhiko Inoue (Kakashi from Naruto and Nyanko-sensei from Natsume’s Book of Friends), Hiroki Takahasi (Hetalia’s Japan and Prince of Tennis’s Eiji Kukumaru), Katsuyuki Konishi (Beelzubub’s Tatsumi Oga and Fairy Tail’s Laxus), and Kikuko Inoue (Ah My Goddess’s Belldandy and Air’s Uraha).
