Idol anime, Wake Up Girls!, is getting its own animated feature film titled Wake Up Girls! The Shadow of Youth, and they are finally heading to Tokyo for the national stage! Avex Pictures official Youtube channel has started streaming its latest trailer, and things aren’t looking good for the upstart idol group.
The trailer takes a look at how the girls are faring in Tokyo, where competition is fierce, and it seems that things have gotten a heavier tone as of late.
The Wake Up Girls animated movie adaptations will be split into two parts, with the first part, The Shadow of Youth, premiering in Japan on September 25, 2016. The second movie, Beyond the Bottom, is scheduled for December 2015, and both movies will serve as a direct sequel to the hit TV anime series.
