2015 is almost at an end, and the Japanese media website, Oricon, has just revealed which Japanese light novel series sold the most copies this year. These are based on which light novel series are selling the most number of copies from the period of November 17, 2014 to November 22, 2015. Here are the Top 30:

- The Irregular at Magic High School by Tsutomu Satou – 1,175,978 copies sold
- My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU by Wataru Watari – 1,050,446 copies sold
- Overlord by Kugane Maruyama – 927,413 copies sold
- Naruto Story Series by Masashi Kishimoto, Akira Higashiyama, Others – 883,833 copies sold
- Sword Art Online by Reki Kawahara – 788,895
- Kagerou Daze by JIN – 494,721
- Kokuhaku Yokou Renshuuby Touko Fujitani and HoneyWorks – 413,663

It seems like annual favorites like Sword Art Online, A Certain Magical Index, The Irregular at Magic High School, and My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU were not able to get #1 this year, because 2015 seems to be the year of the goddess Hestia, as she boob strings her way to #1 in terms of sales. It’s the year of DanMachi for light novels, and from the rankings alone, Hestia really has defeated a lot of big names.
