Black Butler gets a new anime movie scheduled for Early 2017

Black Butler fans rejoice, as the series is getting a brand new animated film, which will be titled “Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic,” and it will be adapting the Luxury Liner Arc from Yana Toboso’s bestselling supernatural manga. A new key visual image for the manga has also been posted:

The film is scheduled to premiere sometime in early 2017, and will be following the Luxury Liner Arc, which covers Vol. 11 – 14 of the manga, and will follow Ciel, Sebastian, and others, as they go aboard the luxury cruise liner, Campania, which holds a lot of secrets of its own.

A-1 Pictures will once again be animating Black Butler, with Noriyuki Abe at the director’s seat, and Hiroyuki Yoshino writing the script, with Minako Shiba in-charge of character design. Advance tickets to the movie will be sold exclusively at the Aniplex booth during the Anime Japan 2016 event, which will be held from March 26 – 27.
