Hideo Kojima wants an anime and manga adaptation for his new game

Legendary video game producer, Hideo Kojima, is striking it out on his own and making his own game for Sony, however, the gaming legend has some pretty big ideas for his game, and wants it to be so big, that it can be expanded to other forms of media.

Kojima recently talked about his new game, which will be released for Sony platforms. He said that he still does not know if this will be a series or not as of the moment, but admitted he wants it to be big enough to become one. He also added he wants his game to have a big enough impact that it can lead into something outside of gaming.

“By impact, I mean from the things that are unique to the game, the characters, and the world. This impact can lead into something outside of games, such as anime, manga, figures; something that is rich enough to expand.”

Kojima has said that he wants to make his new game for Sony to be “edgier” than his previous series, which of course, is Metal Gear.

The bizarre events between Hideo Kojima and Konami have been escalating for a few months now, culminating to the game creator being barred from receiving an award during the Game Awards. Konami has also verified that Kojima has left the company.
