Fans may be torn apart after seeing Madoka Magica The Rebellion Story, but that isn’t stopping MediaMagic from releasing a new smartphone app themed after the hit anime series.
MediaMagic, who previously released apps like EvaGate and a Super Sonico address book for your phone is releasing some real magic this time around with a special Madoka Magica AR camera.
Not only will it allow you to insert Homura into any picture you desire, but if you’re in the Sapporo area it will also let you check out special AR markers.
Using the app is fairly simple, as it’s mostly just a point and click feature. Line up the perfect photo for Homura to appear in and press the photo button. Then you’re all set to share your photo to the social media platform of your choice.
The AR marker function is part of a three-day event in Susukino from November 8 to November 10 that will let you take pictures with all the girls.
The markers are set up in locations across the area to not only promote the movie, but to promote tourism in the area with special tickets to the Norbesa building. The special all day passes, which come with an original illustration and keypass, cost 3,000 yen.
The app itself isn’t region restricted so you can fill up your camera with as many pictures of Homura as you’d like.
