With just five more weeks to go before the release of Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2, Sega has streamed on the Web a new trailer for the rhythm game that shows off most of the tracks featured in the game itself.
Apart from 20 brand new tracks, Project Mirai 2 also includes all of the original 27 tracks from the first Project Mirai game, for a total of 47 songs. The developers decided to throw in all of the songs from the first game partially because Project Mirai 2 introduces a brand new way to play that will result in a different experience from that of the first game, and partially because they wanted to include all of the costumes from the first game too — one of the new features is the ability to mix and match hairstyles and costumes, just like with Good Smile Company’s Nendoroid series of figures.
Unlike the Project Diva series on PlayStation platforms, all songs featured in the Project Mirai series are the full versions. The trade-off, of course, is that in Project Diva the focus is more on the intricately-created promotional videos that run in the background while you’re playing a song, whereas the ones for the Project Mirai series are easier to create.
Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 for the Nintendo 3DS comes out in Japan on November 28, 2013. You’ll need a Japanese 3DS to play this — games on the platform are region-locked, unlike on the PS Vita!
