Namco X Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 3 ad: turn into an Umaibou Shoujo [Video]

Participate in this cross-promotional campaign, and become an Umaibou Shoujou. Gain the power to change fate… actually, no.

Just the ability to communicate to people how remarkably tasty Umaibous (literally “flavour sticks” in Japanese) are.

That’s more or less what this first video ad for the Namco X Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 3 cross-promotion campaign that we previously told you about, pretty much boils down to.

The ad opens with Madoka Magica sub-protagonist Homura Akemi sprawling on the ground, crying over why nobody gets just how amazingly delicious Umaibous are.

Just as she’s doing that, a stranger strange being approaches.

“.. Who are you?”

“Yo! I’m Kyubey! Looks like we meet again!”

What follows are a series of lines from the Madoka Magica: Rebellion Story with their original meanings slightly changed, that I don’t quite follow since, well, I haven’t watched the movie yet.

After which, Kyubey delivers the punchline:

“[What lies ahead?] Hope? Despair? Or Umaibou? [Find out at the] Namco X Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 3: Rebellion Story campaign. With it, you will truly gain the power to explain the deliciousness of Umaibous, and become an Umaibou Shoujo.”

“Seriously, who the hell are you?” quips Homura at the end.
