earth music&ecology to hold Ayana Taketatsu (K-On!!"s Azusa) meet-and-greet event; guys not allowed

If you’re a super-duper die-hard fan of K-On!! and Ayana Taketatsu, the voice actress for Azusa in the show, boy, have I got great news for you!

Remember the earth music&ecology X K-On!! collaboration we told you about a couple of weeks ago?

To help promote the line of clothing, earth music&ecology will be organising a special Ayana Taketatsu (K-On!!’s Azusa Nakano) meet-and-greet event on October 26. Attendees will receive an exclusive K-On!! illustrated postcard directly from Ayana Taketatsu herself — but no phototaking or autographs will be entertained.

All you’ve got to do is show up bright and early at 9:00AM on October 26 at either the Shinjuku Lumines or Ikebukuro Sunshine branch of the fashion boutique chain, and buy at least one of the items featured in the earth music&ecology.

That’s all you have to do to receive a meet-and-greet pass.

What’s that, you say? You’d be embarassed if you went into a women’s clothing store and bought something? It’d be totally weird? Why’s that?

Oh. You’re a guy? Oh dear. That won’t do. That just won’t do at all.

Guys are not allowed.

I’m afraid, sir, that… you’re just not pure enough to attend the Ayana Taketatsu meet-and-greet. To qualify, you’d have to purify yourself… by changing genders.

(Disclaimer: actually, what earth music&ecology Japan Label wrote was that they’d only hand out a meet-and-greet pass to a けいおんコラボグッズをお買い上げの女性のお客様 — a female customer who’s purchased something from the collaboration line-up; it’s not explicitly stated that guys are not allowed.

Also, I’m not sure what they’d do to guys who show up at the meet-and-greet event with a pass he obtained from a female fan. Maybe they’ll stare at you.)

All joking aside, the Ayana Taketatsu meet-and-greet session is being organised to promote women’s clothing, after all. So naturally if you’re a male Ayana Taketatsu fan, then the promotion doesn’t really apply to you, since you normally would not buy women’s clothing. Unless… well, let’s not go there, shall we? *shivers*

Anyway, if you’re a super-duper die-hand female K-On!! fan who’d fly over to Tokyo just for a guaranteed chance to meet Ayana Taketatsu, this is still great news for you.
