China shows off their own version of "Sakura Wars" which is truly a war of "Sakuras"

From the infamous “originally designed” Gundam statue in Schezuan province to a rip off the “A Certain” series, the Chinese have been known for ripping off Japanese anime. Now, their latest target is a classic anime and video game franchise along with a few other series.

A new image has surfaced from China and it shows a Chinese take on “Sakura Wars“. The poster seems to be promoting the Sakura Wars anime package which contains 25 TV anime episodes, 13 OVA episodes, and 2 movies, however, the one who did the picture does not seem to know which Sakura he is supposed to talk about.

The poster shows Sakura Shinguji from the original Sakura Wars franchise, Sakura Haruno from the Naruto series, Sakura Kinomoto from Card Captor Sakura, Sakura Matou from the Fate Series and Sakura Kusagano from Street Fighter.

Well, if you think about it, it would really seem like a war between Sakuras… I wonder who would win? The image was shared by twitter user tdavchen and whether this is just a misinterpretation on the part of Chinese advertisers or a full-on rip-off of a few anime series has not yet been confirmed.
