At their Tamashii Nations 2013 event in anime and figure mecca Akihabara, Bandai showcased their latest and most-talked-about articulated and high-end figures for fans to check out over the course of three days, from November 1 to 3.
Held in the second floor of Akihabara UDX, visitors were treated to an assortment of awesome figures from their Soul of Chogokin and Robot Spirits line. One of the highlights of course were the Gundam displays, which was certainly a huge part of the event.
This year’s theme was “Chogokin” or “Super Alloy” and the event showcased a rustic metal design which certainly goes well with all these mighty robots.
One of the highlights of the Gundam Fix Figuration Metal Composite RX-78 Ver. Ka-35th-which celebrates both the 35th anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam series and the 30th anniversary of the RX-78 ver. Ka. This model exhibits several gimmicks such as hatches that can open and close.
Besides the Gundams, other figures from other series were also on display. Voltes Five, Daimos, Space Battleship Yamato, Macross, and more were proudly showcased by Bandai.
Mechas weren’t the only ite,s showcased as well. There were some S.H. Figuarts and Figuarts Zero displays too.
…and yes, there’s Hello Kitty in here too!
But then again, the stars of the event were undoubtedly the Mobile Suits from the various Gundam series.
