Soon, there’ll be an easier way to buy all your favourite products from Japan in Singapore  – and you’ll save up to 80% on shipping, too, when placing an order with a merchant in Japan.

You’ll be able to do that from Rakuten.com.sg which is the URL for the new dedicated shopping portal for Singapore that Japanese Internet service giant Rakuten is launching next month. At launch, over 70% of Rakuten Singapore’s listed products will be under the Japanese selection.

To learn more about the Rakuten Singapore service, head on down to booth A46 (between the Hello! Japan and Odex booths) at the Anime Festival Asia 2013 (AFA13) convention from now to Sunday, where you’ll also be able to be amongst the first in Singapore to sign up for the site, which will earn you a S$10 off special discount on your first purchase.

AFA13 attendees who sign up for Rakuten.com.sg will also stand to win Casio G-Shock & Baby-G watches, a Sword Art Online poster set, Puella Magi Mado Magica Witch Collection figure set, and Hatsune Miku Selection figures.

You can also find out more about Rakuten Singapore at their Facebook fan page, over at https://www.facebook.com/RakutenSG
