During the 3rd Annual Cool Japan Festival in Mumbai, India, Japanese pop idol group Prizmmy☆ thrilled thrilled the crowd in attendance who came for a taste of Japanese culture.
The four-member girl group comprised of Mia, Karin, Reina, and Ayami delighted the Indian crowd in an event which promoted the very best of Japanese culture. Even though this is their first time in India, the idol group is definitely no stranger to international events as they have performed during the Anime Festival Asia in Singapore last November 2014.
The crowd of approximately 1,000 people cheered the girls on as they performed their singles Pump it up! and EZ DO DANCE which are part of the anime Pretty Rhythm’s soundtrack. The girls then posed for photos and held an autograph session for their Indian fans.
The Cool Japan Festival was held at Mumbai’s High Street Phoenix, Lower Parel from January 17-19. The event celebrated the very best of Japanese culture in India like food, anime, fashion and tourism. It did not just involve Japanese entertainment but also several booths serving Japanese cuisine as well as a cosplay event. According to the event’s official website, its missions are
- To create a platform that is uniquely Japanese and that introduces Japanese culture and lifestyle to Indian visitors.
- To create a platform for Japanese companies to see the reality & challenges of India and get first hand experience of the poten8al of India.
- To bring Japan even closer to India.
Prizmmy☆ meanwhile was very grateful to their Indian fans as they have said that it was an honor to represent Japan
