During a Saint Seiya fan appreciation event held at Bellesalle Akihabara last January 19, 2014, new life size Gold Cloth armors were unveiled as part of the announcements for Sanyo Bussan’s new Saint Seiya Pachinko slot machines.
The life-size versions of the Virgo Gold Cloth and the Scorpio Gold Cloth definitely caught the eyes of many passers-by who took pictures of the shiny Gold Cloths.
Saint Seiya’s Sagittarius Cloth was also present during the unveiling along with the Gemini Gold Cloth.
Saint Seiya voice actor Yuuta Kasuya who voices Andromeda Shun in the Saint Seiya Omega anime was also present along with Japanese J-Rock singer NoB or Nobuyo Yamada who performed live during the event to the delight of the crowd. NoB is responsible for singing the song Never which was the theme song for the Saint Seiya movie Heaven Chapter ~ Overture (Tenkai-hen Josou Overture).
After the unveiling of the life size Gold Cloths, a demo for the new Saint Seiya pachislot machines was carried out, however, it was only for people aged 18 and above.
The new Saint Seiya Pachink Slot machines as well as the life size Gold Cloths are part of Saint Seiya manga author Masami Kuramada’s 40th anniversary as am manga author. Kuramada made his pro debut in 1974 with the manga Sukeban Arashi.
