Basketball series Kuroko’s Basketball and upcoming Volleyball anime Haikyuu have a lot in common. Both are about teamwork, skills, sportsmanship, friendship, team-based ball games and both are based on mangas serialized by Weekly Shounen Jump!
Now, both ballgame series are grabbing some attention as their respective advertisements line-up Shinjuku Station’s underground passageway.

The official Kuroko’s Basketball anime twitter account, kurobasanime, also posted an image of the ads for the series’ ongoing second season.
Hikyuu’s official twitter account, haikyu_a, also posted their Shinjuku underground ad. It is for the upcoming Haikyuu anime which focuses on a different ballgame, volleyball. The anime is scheduled to premiere April 2014 as part of the Spring anime season.

So whether its basketball or volleyball, looks like the Shinjuku underground is prepping people up for these exciting series.
