43 years after donning the costume of the original Kamen Rider costume, veteran actor Hiroshi Fujioka once again reprises his role as Takeshi Hongo or Kamen Rider 1.
It will be 38 years since his last henshin and fans are surely excited about the legend’s long awaited return. This will be Fujioka’s first Kamen Rider henshin since Zenin Shuugou! 7-nin no Kamen Rider!! which was aired 38 years ago in 1976.
He, along with 14 other Kamen Riders from the Showa Era (1926-1989) will be reprising their roles in the upcoming movie Heisei Rider vs. Showa Rider: Kamen Rider War feat. Super Sentai which will also feature 15 Heisei Era (1989-present) Riders. The movie will have its Japanese premiere on March 29, 2014 and will feature a total of 30 Kamen Riders. Surely Kamen Rider fans are more than excited for this one.
A recent picture of him doing his pre-henshin pose is generating a lot of excitement in Japan since many people have watched him fight evil since childhood.
Shooting last December 2013 and has just recently ended this month of January. The screenplay will be written by Kamen Rider x Super Sentai x Uchū Keiji Super Hero Taisen Z I writer Shoji Yonemura and directed by Takayuki Shibasaki who is certainly not a stranger to directing Kamen Rider as he has done several episodes for Kamen Rider Gaim, Kamen Rider 000, Kamen Rider Wizard and Kamen Rider Fourze.
