Highly anticipated Vocaloid rhythm game, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f 2nd is invading Tokyo Joypolis and they will be turning one of Sega’s most famous amusement parks into one gigantic Mikufest.
The 39-day Miku fiesta known as Hatsune Miku Daiba de Diva f-2nd will begin on February 27, 2014 and will end on March 6, 2014 which is also the game’s release date. It will feature plenty of Vocaloid-based attractions from a limited edition menu to games and shows.
A special show will be screened in several locations within Tokyo Joypolis and will feature the opening theme of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f 2nd, “Decorator”. It will be shown three times and are scheduled at 12:00 noon, 15:00 (3:00 pm) and 18:00 (5:00 pm).
Visitors can also experience the game even before it hits the market with the Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f 2nd Experience Corner. They can play the game first hand on Tokyo Joypolis’s third floor.
One of the amusement park’s most popular attractions is the Tokyo Half Pipe, a ride designed to simulate the half pipe usually used by skateboarders. Miku will also be invading that ride as several music videos featuring the virtual diva will be played as the ride thrills the visitors. There is a height limit of 130cm for the ride.
A Vocaloid-themed photo booth will also be set up to capture the visitors’ Miku-filled Joypolis experience.
You can also get your fortunes told by the Vocaloid characters with the Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f 2nd Fortune Forest.
A special limited edition menu will also be served during the 39-day event and it will include the Hatsune Miku cappuccino, The Hatsune Miku Parfait and the Kaito & Meiko Curry. Each menu item comes with a Project Diva coaster.
The amusement park’s D-Store and JP Lounge will also be selling some new Vocaloid goodies
Finally, the Carnival Games Corner and the Fun Zone will also be sporting a Project Diva f 2nd theme with games like the UFO Catcher featuring Miku prizes.
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f 2nd will be released on March 6, 2014 for the PlayStation 3 and the PS Vita platforms.
