Pink, a hair color you would normally only see in anime, cosplay, or musicians like Pink, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. Let’s just say it is a hair color which will never exist naturally.
DDNavi has recently went around Akihabara, considered the capital of the otaku world, and asked 100 people who they think is the best pink-haired anime character. Seven characters stood out from heir street survey, and they are:
7) Momo Velia Deviluke (To Love-Ru)
Question, what if an alien princess tells you that she will build a harem for you? What if she really does everything in her power to get girls to fall for you? The charming Deviluke princess has charmed fans all over the world with her love and determination, and that’s what made her join this list.
6) The Heroine (Humanity has Declined)
She may not have a name but she has proven to be quite endearing to anime fans with her sweet and gentle nature. Looks like even if humanity has declined, the future still looks bright with her around.
5) Tomoka Minato (Ro-Kyu-Bu!!)
The 6th grade female basketball prodigy has taken the hearts of many fans with her sheer determination and grit. Her skills in the hard court are considered top notch for an elementary school student and she is also very sweet and caring.
4) Louise Francoise le Blanc de la Valliere (The Familiar of Zero)
Considered one of the Four Queens of Tsundere (along with Shakugan no Shana’s Shana, Hayate the Combat Butler’s Nagi and Toradora’s Taiga, all of whom are voiced by Rie Kugimiya), this magician hails from a rich family and is extremely destructive not only to her familiar, Saito, but also to her surroundings.
3) Hinagiku Katsura (Hayate the Combat Butler)
Come on, let’s sing it! H-I-N-A! Hinagiku! She is often considered THE pink haired anime character as her long pink hair has now become quite the anime icon. Like her co-star Nagi, she is also quite the tsundere but she is also very sweet to her friends, especially Ayumu and Athena. She is perhaps Hayate the Combat Butler’s most popular characters with fans all over the world.
2) Super Sonico (Super Sonico)
Nitroplus’s music-loving mascot character finally has her own anime series and so far, fans have been really really happy. She is sweet, loving and a great musician though she is also quite clumsy as well, but that just makes her more lovable in the eyes of many of her fans.
1) Madoka Kaname (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
Taking the #1 spot is a true goddess among pink-haired anime characters, Madoka Kaname. The magical girl has experienced various success from box office hits to sold out figures and even a Saimoe win. Her taking the #1 spot is not a surprise given her popularity not only in Japan but also the rest of the world.
