The 2014 Winter Anime Season is most certainly providing fans with plenty of memorable series like D-Frag!, No-Rin, Silver Spoon Season 2 and more, and now, renowned Japanese music distributor Recochoku has asked people which series from the winter 2014 season do they think is the very best.
500 people aged 12-50 years old were asked from the period of January 10-29, 2014 which anime is their favorite. With 61% of the respondents being women while 39% were men, here are their results:
10/9/8: World Conquest Zvezda Plot (4% of votes)
10/ 9/ 8: D-Frag! (4% of votes)
10/ 9/ 8: No-Rin (4% of votes)
7/6: Engaged to the Unidentified (6% of votes)
7/6: Saki: National Edition (6% of votes)

4/ 3: Nisekoi (11% of votes)
2) Noragami (13% 0f votes)
1) Hoozuki no Reitetsu (33% of votes)
Well, that wasn’t even close. With a 61: 39 female-to-male ratio, Hell’s demonic coordinator, Hoozuki takes the #1 spot. The series has been extremely popular with girls not only for its hilariously and brutally funny scenes but also for all the yaoi shipping going on.
The same goes for the #2 spot Noragami which has been getting a lot of female anime fans (mostly fujoshi) buzzing because of the special relationship the main character Yato has with his Regalia, Yukine.
The highest ranking anime which has proven to be popular for both genders is Nisekoi which features a very complicated yet interesting love story.
