The highly anticipated J-Stars Victory VS is slowly shaping up to be one huge cross-over fighting game as more characters have been revealed along with some of the game’s online and offline gameplay.
The 12th issue of Weekly Shounen Jump! has revealed several new playable characters for the main and support rosters. For the main roster, Arale Norimaki from Dr. Slump, The titular character of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, Kusuo Saiki from Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan and Luckyman from Tottemo Luckyman while Haikyuu’s Hinata Shoyo will be using his volleyball skills as a support character.
Speaking of J-Stars characters, new details have been released for Saint Seiya, AllenWalker, Hisoka, Akainu, Madara Uchiha, Sosuke Aizen, Frieza, Younger Toguro, and Makoto Shishio.
Saint Seiya will be a playable character and he will be using his patented Pegasus Meteor Fist to fight the likes of Son Goku, Luffy and Kenshiro. He can also change modes into his Sagittarius Gold Cloth to use his powerful Sagittarius Arrow.
D. Gray-man’s Allen Walker meanwhile will be using his clawed left hand as a support character. His Parasitic-type Innocence will prove to be a useful tool in battle.
Hisoka from Hunter X Hunter meanwhile will be using his Bungee Gum for support. Use him to pull your opponents towards you, just like Scorpion in Mortal Kombat or push them away.
Main roster member Akainu from One Piece will be using his scorchingly hot fire attacks to his advantage with moves like Mei Inu and Volcanic Eruption.
Naruto’s main antagonist, Madara Uchiha meanwhile will not onle be using his Mangeyou Sharingan to full effect, but he can also do devastating damage with Susanoo as well as the Uchiha clan’s powerful fire techniques.
Dragon Ball villain Frieza meanwhile will be devastating in both long ranged and melee combat with moves like his Death Beam, Kiai, and Daichi Retsuzan. And yes, he will already be fighting in his final form.
Yu Yu Hakusho’s muscular juggernaut, Toguro will be using a variety of combinations and skills to pound opponents to smithereens. He can also get to 100% of his power which will leave opponents in a world of hurt.
Meanwhile, Ruruoni Kenshin baddie Shishio Makoto will use his Guren Arm, Homurarei and Mugen Blade to scorch his opponents.
Bleach antagonist Aizen Sosuke will be causing a lot of trouble for opponents with moves like Kuro Hitsugi for offence and an impenetrable barrier named Sora Dan for defense.
The game will also be introducing the J Adobe Character Mode where the heroes and villains will gather in the “Jump World”. where the “J Battle Festival” will be held. Players will be exploring “Jump World” with these One Piece-style ships which you can upgrade. There will be four scenarios, namely the Hope Edition, the Dynamism Edition, the Tracking Guide and the Explore Mode. More details on these scenarios will be released in the future.
For its Online Mode, the game will be featuring 2-on-2 ranked matches where people can play against each other through their PlayStation 3′s and PS Vitas. Voice chat will also be available.
J-Stars Victory VS for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita platforms is scheduled for release in Japan on March 19. 2014.
And to finish things off, here’s Frieza and Korosensei, two individuals who have enough power to destroy planets getting their butts kicked by To Love-Ru’s Lala Deviluke.
