Jump Square’s July issue (which went on sale today in Japan) has announced that Blood Blockade Battlefront, the latest manga by Yasuhiro Nightow (author or Trigun and designer of Gungrave), is getting an anime adaptation. No further information has been revealed.
The story is set in a futuristic New York City which is called Jerusalem’s Lot in the manga. A rift has opened above the city, causing the citizens and other-worldly creatures to be trapped inside an impenetrable bubble. Libra, a crime fighting organisation, is responsible for preventing the spread of the horrors and chaos in Jerusalem’s Lot to the outside world.
