It’s time to say goodbye to the good ol’ PlayStation Portable.

Sony has announced that they will stop PSP shipments to stores in Japan this month. Just last January North American shipments of the handheld console was ceased.

Shipments to Europe will carry on until later this year. On the other hand, there are still no plans of ceasing the handheld console’s distribution to Latin American and other Asian territories.

The PSP was originally released in Japan back in December 2004 and in North America in 2005.

Sony’s PSP may be phased out from the market soon, but we’ll always have nice recollections of the games we played on it. Care to share your PSP memories?
