A new TV ad was aired for NisiOisin’s Hanamonogatari which focuses on the monkey-themed lesbian basketball star, Kanbaru Suruga. The new commercial features the Monogatari heroine with longer hair while narrating about the devil inside her.
The video features the song, Hanaato -shirushi-, by Marina Kawano which will serve as the anime’s ED theme. The anime will air August 15, 2014 and will be shown “in one fell swoop” or as a 5-episode marathon after 13 weeks worth of delays.

Hanamonogatari, also known as Suruga Devil, will focus on the mischievous (and often perverted) lesbian basketball sensation, Suruga Kanbaru. Hanamonogatari was originally planned to be part of the Monogatari series second season TV anime show, but was excluded from it in the end as the producers had trouble squeezing it into the show’s 26-episode (“two cours” or half-a-year airing schedule) format, according to Aniplex’s Iwakami Atsuhiro.
