The Charahobby 2014 C3 X Hobby Expo or C3 Hobby has finally kicked off its first day of events over at the Makuhari Messe Hall and one of the highlights of event is the Bandai booth which showed off its various GunPla and other plastic model kits as well as their Tamashii Nations figures.
Of course, since this is Bandai we are talking about, we are starting things off with GunPla. Their GunPla display is highlighted by the two upcoming Gundam anime series which are Gundam Reconguista in G and Gundam Build Fighters Try. Also on display are the new Re/100 series like the 1/100 Nightingale, and the new Hi-Nu Gundam Ver. ka, as well as a few ship PlaMo and the new Patlabor PlaMo. There are also a few new HG and MG kits on display as well.
But Bandai ain’t all about GunPla, and their Bandai Hobby Division booth just shows why their Tamashii Nations line is as strong as ever. The booth is also highlighted by a 1:1 Scale Proplica Dominator from the thriller anime Psycho-Pass complete with its very own Akane cosplayer. As usual, their Robot Spirits, Chogokin series, and others are also on display.
Speaking of Tamashii Nations, Bandai’s Armor Girls Project has proudly joined the Kantai Collection invasion and during the event, their latest AGP figures from the popular DMM browser game, Yamato, Atago, and Takao, were displayed along with a replica of Yamato’s weaponry.
Gundam’s Candy Toy division also has several surprises, including a candy toy version of the dreaded Neo Zeong
Finally, a Zabi house display featured the elegant side of Zeon, which includes the Zabi tea cups and the M’Quve vase.
The C3 Hobby Expo 2014 kicked off today, August 23, 2014 and will be ending tomorrow, August 24. It is held at the Makuhari messe Hall in Chiba, Japan.
