The To Aru series has been riding a huge wave of success with the ongoing A certain scientific Railgun S anime as well as the newly announced spin-off manga which focuses on the #1 level 5 Accelerator.
The series is also celebrating summer in a very certain way with their official character popularity elections. The winner of the poll will be featured in a message card illustrated by series illustrator Kiyotaka Haimura. The message card will contain the winner as well as a message from series author Kazuma Kamachi himself.
The winner will be determined once the target 103,000 votes have been cast. Voting is open for everyone and the candidates include the main characters including Index, Touma, Accelerator, Mikoto and Kuroko as well as some very not-so-well known ones. You can cast your vote through this link. Today, August 27 will also be a very big day for the To Aru series in general as volume 9 of the Railgun manga, volume 12 of the Index manga and the manga version of the movie A Certain Magical Index: Miracle of Endymion will all be released. Today will also mark the release of the special monthly issue of Dengeki Daioh which features the Railgun herself, Mikoto Misaka.
The latest volume of A Certain Magical Index’s second light novel series (aka the main series) will also be released this summer and it will be on September 10. Dengeki has also released a 50 page teaser for the new book and so far, it features Touma, Index, Lessar, Leivinia Birdway and Mikoto.
