Madoka Magica art exhibit opens across Japan this September

As part of a roadshow to help promote the Madoka Magica Rebellion movie coming out this October, an art exhibit showcasing pieces from the series will open up across Japan in September.

Opening in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, and Fukuoka in September, the event will show off artwork from the show and movies. Supervised by Junichiro Taniguchi and Hirogi Yamamura, as well as the animators, it promises to be something for fans to look forward to.

Of course, with such a variety of things to choose from, artwork will not be the only thing on display. It will also feature overseas posters and promotional goods. Just what that means isn’t clear, but it may be as simple as this poster that was used to promote the Madoka movies in Mexico.

Although there are no images just yet, it also promises an Ultimate Madoka figure cast from two different types of metals, which may be similar to this one released last year.

Starting August 30, the public site for the exhibition will open up ticket sales. Considering the first volume of the TV’s Blu-rays managed to sell out in one day, it may be a good idea to reserve your tickets in advance if you plan on going.
