The Fairy-like Hatsune Miku has been drawn by a lot of well known artists and now, another legendary one joins the fray.
Mangaka (manga writer/artist) Hiro Mashima who is known for writing and drawing hit mangas Fairy Tail and Rave Master has recently drawn the cover for two of the latest Hatsune Miku CD’s. The famous manga artist drew the famous virtual diva as part of Family Mart‘s “Miku loves Family Mart” campaign which includes some cosmetics and some chocolaty treats. Both singles contain collaboration singles by various artists involved in Vocaloid such as DECO*27, 40mP, Uta-P, OSTER project, ATOLS, Zanio and more.
Passing Days contains:
- HOME by DECO*27 and 40mP
- HOME (instrumental)
- Issho ni Ikouyo, Shiawasena Mirai he by Zanio and Utata-P
- Issho ni Ikouyo, Shiawasena Mirai he (instrumental)
Coming Days meanwhile contains:
- Save the Princess by sasakure.UK and OSTER project
- Save the Princes (instrumental)
- Nakimushi Denki by Kikuo and ATOLS
- Nakimushi Denki (instrumental)
If you are familiar with Fairy Tail, Rave and Mashima’s art style in general, you might even think that his version of Miku looks a bit like Wendy from Fairy Tail with those twin tails and all, don’t you think?
Both CD’s will be released on September 3 and will be available to Family Mart stores all over Japan. There’s no mention whether these CD’s will be available to Family Mart stores outside Japan such as the ones in America, the Philippines and Thailand.
Mashima’s Miku artwork has also been featured in DECO*27 and 40mP’s music video, HOME feat. Hatsune Miku .
A sticker sheet based on the artwork by various artists like Nasos and Chakoro will also be provided as part of the promo.
