Gamers who purchase the first-print edition of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle will receive a DLC character, Yoshikage Kira from Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable, free with their copy of the game.
But Yoshikage Kira won’t be the only DLC character; other memorable heroes and villains from the long-running manga series may also enter this all-star brawl as paid DLC characters. The first of which has been announced to be Shigekiyo Yangu, also from Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable. He will be voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi (Persona 4‘s Kuma/Teddie, Ranma Saotome from Ranma 1/2).
Shigekiyo Yangu will be available at the game’s launch, on August 29 – for the price of 600 yen (US$6.14, S$7.80), according to a leaked magazine scan.
That’s likely to be the price of all future DLC characters for the game, and it is a little expensive since this is just for a single character.
But if you think about it, part of the cost for that has to do with Namco Bandai Games having to cast a voice actor to play the role – the cast in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Part 4 has never been voiced in an anime show before, after all.
On the bright side of things, CyberConnect2′s Kento Nakasha revealed on Twitter that DLC data for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle will not already be included with the disc – you’re not paying 600 yen for an unlock code.
